The Scoop: Mrs. Leon

In Mrs. Leon’s general chemistry class students are learning all sorts of things, from how to understand complex chemistry and algebra, to learning how to perform fun and exciting double displacement labs. As recently as this week Mrs. Leon demonstrated a procedure to the class where she used different kinds of metals and ran them through a Bunsen burner flame resulting in all sorts of vibrant colors depending on the metal. This had all of the HCS chemistry students completely intrigued. One student said, “Her class is challenging and calls us as students to really think and put in work for our answer. It is an excellent and valuable class.”
